I ask for 600.000 VND/hour. I teach English and other things in Vietnam and online. Email me at JoeyArnoldVN@Gmail.com
- Tiến, Hoa Tóc Tiên, Tôi Yêu Tiếng Anh and 32 others like this.
- Joey Arnold At VUS, you are not learning from and with an American English Teacher all of the time. Often times, you study with a foreigner once a week for an hour or two. If you are lucky enough to go to a center, you will be able to interact with a foreigner once a week. But there will be other people in the class that will be fighting for attention. The foreigner can't really spend much quality time with each student in larger classes.
.
If you're lucky, you might get an American teacher, but they cost more. But then you also have a Vietnamese teacher who teaches you as well the other times. And VUS and other centers pay the Vietnamese English Teachers less than what they pay the Foreign teachers.
.
Sometimes, the centers do not have any or enough American English Teachers. Instead, they'll have Indian English Teachers or something like that.
.
Often times, even American English Teachers talk too fast. Many people have told me in real-life, in person, that I personally talk not too fast like other American English Teachers at VUS and other centers. People prefer me over the other teachers.
.
I teach differently than others. - Tiểu Màn Thầu Too expensive. People in my country are very poor. When you live in VN, you don't ask that cost. Because everything is cheap, with some m0ney,you can buy many things. Moreover, nobody learn with you if you ask that cost.
- Ta Ngoc Huan very expensive, you are wrong when you ask fee. we want to study E but we are not much money. If we are much money, we Could come to English center.
- Tuong Huynh So thats reason you set the tuition for 600,000vnd/hour. I can believe in your claim about making difference in teaching from the others. However, the price is still too way expensive. I think it should be less expensive a little bit. Your learners, I think, are mostly students. You know what? They have to spend and save money for their living and study. Your offer to get paid 600,000vnd/hour may make their desire of learning English become unaffordable, thus there will be fewer and fewer students coming to you, asking you to teach them English. I think you should envision the future of losing students. Every action has its consequence, so be careful of how you do something. That're all my words to advise you.
- Joey Arnold Please learn how to read what I write. You are misreading what I am writing. There are a few words that I wrote above that you are not comprehending. Plus, you probably do not know me that well. People who really know me will understand what I am really saying. For more info, call my manager at (84) 0903-124-615
- Tuong Huynh If you can make on able to be fluent in English in short period of time, particularly 1-3 months. Then I believe the tuition is worthy. Thats everything I can say.
- Joey Arnold remember that I "ASK" for 600.000 VND/hour. Please understand the word "ASK" and what "ASK" means
- Duncan James · Friends with Vince Anh Ngo and 21 othersI would not give one Dong to this guy. Being an American does not mean that you will be a good English teacher. I teach ESL and have done so abroad. I met lots of people like this guy, with no qualifications posing as English teachers. He actually gives foreign English teachers a bad reputation. He seems to have been thrown out of other places and he will not be told or corrected. Not a good influence. He also has about 15 Facebook pages. Why? He will never answer your questions directly as he is incapable of doing so. ...avoid!
- Tân Bùi We are in Vietnam, not the U.S
I wonder if you consider the income of VNese people
Plus, yr students are STUDENTS, how can they afford? - Joey Arnold Duncan James does not know me. He does not know anything about me. But he thinks he knows me. He is assuming, judging, and stereotyping me to be something that I might appear to be. However, he has never met me in person. Many people misunderstand who I am and what I do. People also misunderstand my biography. You need to understand what I do in order to better understand what I am really saying.
.
However, people are too quick to ridicule. People are constantly thinking about the wrong things. They are not seeing what is really there. Too often, people are too negative, arrogant, ignorant, blind, and deaf to what is really there all around us.

For more information, contact my Vietnamese manager in TP.HCM at her cell phone number of (84) 0903-124-615 - Duncan James · Friends with Vince Anh Ngo and 21 othersI may not know you personally, but I do know your type all too well. You create trouble wherever you go and you always will.
- Joey Arnold What kind of trouble? Where is your evidence? What am I doing exactly that is so horrible? Please do not make statements without sufficient data and proof that can explain how you see things. Plus, you need to have enough perspective to see the larger pictures of my life and those I come in contact with. There is a lot of information that you need to have in order to make certain claims like that.
- Duncan James · Friends with Vince Anh Ngo and 21 othersI have read all of your wild posts and comments, written by you! Some you delete later. I met many foreign 'teachers' like you during my time overseas. I do not like to see people being misled or cheated. You said you teach for free, then suddenly you want a huge amount of money. Not very consistent.
- Duncan James · Friends with Vince Anh Ngo and 21 others600.000 VND is a lot of money to some people.
- Joey Arnold Duncan James, I didn't delete those posts. I hid them. Why are they crazy? Please be more detail. You opinions are still not fully explained. You are being too vague. I do teach for free. I ask for money, but I do not require the money. I do not demand 600.000 VND per hour. I still teach for free. What I say is still true. But money is good. I can't eat without money. But I am still teaching for free. I teach at various prices. Some people do not give me money. Some people give me a little and some give me a little more. I was just throwing out a good number of my dream.
.
Mr. Duncan, if you are an English Teacher, why are you fundamentally misreading and misinterpreting what I am writing? You should be smarter than this. I can forgive people who may not have the ability to understand English well enough, but you should have a clue.
.
Mr. Duncan teaches British English while I teach American English. I prefer my accent over others of other countries.
.
I am sad that people are too easily confused by what I write. Instead of seeking understanding, people choose to believe that I am lying, that I am contradicting my previous statements. However, I am not contracting myself. Instead, you are missing the point. - Duncan James · Friends with Vince Anh Ngo and 21 othersI think you will find hiding and deleting have the same effect. 'Out of sight'. You do have 15 Facebook accounts, you told people you were homeless and penniless a few days ago. Your visa had expired...I could go on and on. You are like a novel.
- Mylen Turtal Joey Arnold why u should tell bfore u teach for free only but now u tell about pay
Why bfore u tell tht then any of them trust u
Then after that u start to pay
So wht it means ..means is ur business - Daphnie Grace Porazo we are n0t here to judge who is right and wr0ng.. they have the just reas0n in which we have 2 understand..
- Tuong Huynh I'm very particular about the words "ask" and "demand" you pose out to specify what you mean. So asking is when you ask for the acceptance from someone else and demanding is when you really want sb to do that right away without knowing whether she or he accepts. I fully understand your situation right now. You in tight budget, pushing effort to make living and I believe thats reason you want to get paid 600k/h. You said you just asked right so what if somebody paid you below 100k 10k or even 1k, do you agree to teach? I know you understand. Stay cool!
- Joey Arnold Mr. Duncan James is misreading my posts. He must have skim through what I write since I write so much. Trying to keep up with me can be confusing, but please do not jump to conclusions. My life is a long story and it takes a long time to explain. However, often times, people are closed-minded to my point of view. They already have their minds made up.
.
I lost my wallet. I lost the money in my wallet. But I borrowed money. I extended my visa to September 2014. I teach English in TP.HCM. I make money. I save the money. I get help from people. It can be hard at times. I try my best to save money. When I fall down, I try getting back up again. When people and things knock me down, I try my best to hop back onto that horse to try again.
.
I was born in the year of 1985 in a hospital in Forest Grove, Oregon, of the United States of America. I am American. I have white skin. I wear glasses. I have an American accent. I have wanted to travel and help people all around the world since I was 8 years old in 1993. I came to Vietnam in 2012. Life is full of surprises. However, I continue to do my best to make due.
.
I have one official Facebook. Many people are very confused about these things. There are other Facebook accounts, pages, and groups that are not to be confused with my one Facebook at Face Book .com /JoeyArnoldVN
.
.
I was homeless. Ask people who know me. Sometimes, I am homeless, but I was saving money. I am always saving money. I pray and ask God for help. God helps me through these kinds of situations. Things are getting better. I am not negative. Instead, I am honest, lucid, strait-forward, direct, and transparent about my life. I was able to find an apartment to rent. I am a freelance American English Teacher in Q.4, TP.HCM. I have taught at schools and centers. I have been a teacher in America since the year of 2003. I was a camp counselor from 2005 - 2010. I have many hobbies. My life is an adventure.
.
.
Mylen Turtal, I try my best to help people. I can teach people for free but I do need at least some money, compensation, food, drink, shelter, benefits, trade, or something to say the least.
.
.
Duncan teaches for free? But Vietnamese people say nothing is free. Duncan needs money. I am not contradicting what I have said in the past.
.
People are misreading what I write. Foreigners are paid over 400.000 VND/hour in Vietnam for classrooms of around ten or more students. Tutors are paid at least 200.000 VND/hour even in HCM. I get my information from Vietnamese people, foreign English Teachers, and the internet.

I have not been able to find any films made by you, even after Googling your name with films. if you could let me know the titles of these films. Remember - if you make these statements, you must be able to back them up. It's called being in the public eye. I have been following your activities for over 2 months after someone asked if I knew you.The only person who is being closed-minded here is you, by not listening to anything people say to you. Some of your pasts posting have been strange and quite disturbing. You have created 15 Facebook pages. Today you have been posting on two of them...not one.
- Bé Hạt Tiêu It's a pity that i dont have chance to know you in real life, but honestly Im not pleased to do that. However, what you have posted proves you are taking all advantages to earn money. No one can deny that money is very essential, but it doesnt mean all, especially to the work of teaching. Language teaching originates in passion of sharing culture with other people so that they can have inspiration to obtain the language. This is opposite to your purpose. I agree that we need money to make ends meet. Nevertheless, we need to know limitation. Nowadays, thanks to mordern information technology, students can contact their teachers easily through the internet, even teachers from different countries. It's thought that this method will be popular in the future. There are many poor people in Vietnam that need your help, but we (except for people follow you) dont aprreciate your current ways. What we are doing from our hearts will exist forever and vice versa. Thank you for your reading and considering my comments Mr. Joey Arnold
- Tuong Huynh The point is there is no tutor getting paid at least 200k/hour. Where the hell did you get that information? Even an official teacher offered a tutor job only get paid 200k per day not per hour. You may have misled.
