McDonald's did not give me free water today.

But McDonald's gave customers free water before.

McDonald's is not a new company.

If McDonald's did not want to give free water, then why did they give free water for a while, for months, at different stores in Saigon, Vietnam?

The staff had enough time to train. Some staff went to the United States. McDonald's has been around since the early 1900's, almost 100 years ago.

McDonald's had enough time to make good policies.
.
It is more professional not to change policies all of the time.
.
I'm expressing my concern for McDonald's training procedures and their ability to make decisive policies that won't change too much or policies that are too inconsiderate or bad or too inconvenient. I'm American, born 1985 in the USA. I love Vietnam. I'm asking for honesty, transparency, reliability, trust, logic, principles, perspective, & other good things.

Did McDonald's staff lie to me? Do they sometimes give water to some customers? I would buy a meal and get free water before. I did this for months. Other customers did too.

Today, staff said they discontinued free water due to health and safety concerns. However, they should have had this policy, internationally, years ago.

Why didn't they already have the no water policy before?
.
The no water policy is either a good idea or a bad idea.
.
If the no water policy is good, then why did they give me free water before? That would be a mistake. They should have had the no water policy before they moved their McDonald's franchise to Vietnam.
.
If the no water policy is bad, then it is a mistake to have it. If this is a bad idea, then they should continue giving people free water.
.
But it is a lose-lose situation for McDonald's, therefore.
.
McDonald's is either making a mistake by stopping free water or by not stopping free water sooner.

Tim Camp It's pretty sad that he's so autistic we can easily see who the OP is. Just think, he's actually "teaching" people to speak and write like him, too. Imagine a whole room of Vietnamese students all happily parroting Joey Arnold, not even knowing how creepy they sound. Stuff of nightmares, right there. Tim Camp He is a danger to himself and others, mostly himself, because of his regular outbursts and social retardation. He needs help and people have tried to help him but he thinks he's perfectly normal and his family doesn't care. I'm not making fun of him - everything I said is true. He has severe speech impediments and pretends to be a teacher but usually just ends up creeping on girls instead of teaching. Were you not here for his Circle K incident? He basically got arrested for being a creep and harassing girl working there. You know Vietnamese people really don't like to call the police so they had to see him as a serious threat. It is strange to me that Vietnamese people don't see his obvious mental illness and actually think they can learn something from him.

Scott Sommerville 99% of F&B establishments will provide tap water for free, in the UK anyway. Licensed premises are required to do so by law.
