McWater 08

Vietnam McDonald's discontinued meal-supplementary water due to health & safety concerns & due to the introduction of a new product that they now sell, bottled water. That is what they said today, the 25th of May 2016 in Saigon. two things but should have told me that months ago. They could have told their staff not to serve complimentary water years ago, internationally, & locally in Vietnam as well.
.
Businesses should be more professional in how they train staff and in how they implement new policies which are potentially harmful & counterproductive to their long-term overall goals & success in making profits but also in keeping customers happy and healthy. I'm simply here to question how and why they do what they do. What they did was not and is not a problem. But their mindset, attitude, perspective, methodology, and how and why they do what they do is questionable and hypothetically or theoretically problematic and illogical or too inconvenient for the well being of customers and is possibly not necessary and it may do more harm than good. They have the freedom and rights to do what they want but what they do can be or could be not the best decision possible.
.
If providing additional meal-accompany water is bad or not a good idea for customers or for McDonald's, then they should have discontinued such services long ago. McDonald's started in the early 1900's, almost one hundred years ago in the United States. Vietnamese staff trained in the USA. They had time to figure which policies would be good or bad in Vietnam. They are out of excuses.
.
I'm American, born 1985 in the USA, & moved to VN in the year 2012. I'm not as crazy as people say. I'm creative & I pretend to act insane sometimes because life can be more fun. But I'm just here to voice my concerns for McDonald's. Other coffee shops, restaurants, stores, & other places provide a cup of free tap water. McDonald's either made a mistake by discontinuing free water or McDonald's made a mistake by not discontinuing free water sooner. Either way, MD made a mistake. They can do better.
