Joey Arnold
Joey Arnold I'm an American English Teacher. Add me

McDonald's discontinued meal-supplementary water due to health & safety concerns & due to the introduction of a new product that they now sell, bottled water. Today, they told me those two things but should have told me that months ago. They could have told their staff not to serve complimentary water years ago, internationally, & locally in Vietnam as well.
.
Businesses should be more professional in how they train staff and in how they implement new policies which are potentially harmful & counterproductive to their long-term overall goals & success in making profits but also in keeping customers happy and healthy. I'm simply here to question how and why they do what they do. What they did was not and is not a problem. But their mindset, attitude, perspective, methodology, and how and why they do what they do is questionable and hypothetically or theoretically problematic and illogical or too inconvenient for the well being of customers and is possibly not necessary and it may do more harm than good. They have the freedom and rights to do what they want but what they do can be or could be not the best decision possible.
.
If providing additional meal-accompany water is bad or not a good idea for customers or for McDonald's, then they should have discontinued such services long ago. McDonald's started in the early 1900's, almost one hundred years ago in the United States. Vietnamese staff trained in the USA. They had time to figure which policies would be good or bad in Vietnam. They are out of excuses.
.
I'm American, born 1985 in the USA, & moved to VN in the year 2012. I'm not as crazy as people say. I'm creative & I pretend to act insane sometimes because life can be more fun. But I'm just here to voice my concerns for McDonald's. Other coffee shops, restaurants, stores, & other places provide a cup of free tap water. McDonald's either made a mistake by discontinuing free water or McDonald's made a mistake by not discontinuing free water sooner. Either way, MD made a mistake. They can do better.

Tim Camp It's pretty sad that he's so autistic we can easily see who the OP is. Just think, he's actually "teaching" people to speak and write like him, too. Imagine a whole room of Vietnamese students all happily parroting Joey Arnold, not even knowing how creepy they sound. Stuff of nightmares, right there. How do they not realize he is missing a few marbles? It can't just be a language barrier thing.

Grant Walsh I once ran a random business selling random items. It all went wrong when I set random prices for items and gave away random items for free. Can anyone tell me where it went wrong?

Grant Walsh This reply is no longer valid due to the changes in the original post. The use of the word random is unacceptable in many posts. This was why I wrote this.
